I've made a few changes, instead of projecting playing time from here to the end of the season I'm just using the preseason playing time projection, and updating the rate stats, as one commenter suggested. For pitchers, I have increased the lower end of playing time projection. For starters, if you have a projection at all, you get at least 20 games. The upper limit, 30 starts, is still reserved for the most durable pitchers who rarely miss a start. Strasburg in his first month vaults into the top 10 in starter projections. Not bad at all for a system that only goes by the stats. If and when I integrate velocity data with the projections he'll look even better. |
